The Andrews family and this crew are who you'll meet here at Kybong, but Forage Farms is bigger than one property now. We're working with a small, growing community of partner farmers producing to the same standards right across the region, real people building real businesses the same way we did.

You won't meet them on a tour of this particular farm, but you can meet them and see what they're building.

A tour here is a proper walk around the property, not a polished, staged experience. It usually takes around two hours, and you'll see exactly how the farm actually works, chickens, pigs and cattle, how they're moved and managed, and our Maremma guardian dogs keeping watch over the layers.

You'll also see our contours, cut into the paddocks, doing the quiet work of slowing water down and holding it in the landscape rather than letting it run straight off into the Mary River. It's Natural Sequence Farming in action, the same principle behind everything we do here and everything we teach through Tarwyn Park Training. You'll see the evidence for yourself: greener paddocks, more plant diversity, and paddocks that hold their colour long after the neighbours' have browned off.

From there, we'll take you through the pack shed, where you'll see exactly how your eggs get from the paddock to your carton. Every egg is washed, weighed and laser-stamped by machine before it's packed, ready for delivery.

We'll walk you through our regenerative farming philosophy in plain terms, and you'll come away understanding exactly what pasture raised actually means and why it's a different thing entirely to free range. Ask us anything, the more questions the better, our whole team loves them. We're happy to get into a few of our quirkier methods too. Yes, we really do let the weeds grow on purpose, thistles included. Turns out most weeds aren't the enemy at all, they're doing a job, telling us something about what's going on in the soil underneath them. Once you know how to read them, you stop wanting to pull them all out.

What to bring: comfortable walking shoes and a hat. An umbrella, rain jacket and gumboots if there's any chance of wet weather. A water bottle. And bring an esky, most people leave with eggs, beef, chicken or our pork in tow.

We're an open book, and the best way to know exactly where your food comes from is to walk the ground it's grown on.
