Who's Behind Forage Farms
Forage Farms is run day to day by the Andrews family and a small, dedicated team, and it's growing into something bigger than any one family. Here's who you'll actually meet if you come out to Kybong.
Forage Farms runs on family, in the loosest sense of the word.

Stuart started both Forage Farms and Tarwyn Park Training, bringing the Natural Sequence Farming methods his father developed at Tarwyn Park here to Queensland. He's the one everyone turns to for whatever nobody else can manage, and if there's an excavator or dozer involved, you won't need to ask him twice.
Megan holds it all together, home, farm and both businesses, making sure the rest of us know what we're supposed to be doing.
Hamish gets ribbed for spending too much time in the office, but he's trained up the people who now do those farm jobs properly, and these days he knows both businesses inside out. He'll tell you he doesn't talk much. Ask him the right question and you'll find that's not true.
Lachie runs like clockwork, a 9am coffee, lunch at 12 sharp, and good luck getting a turn in his tractor. It's exactly that discipline that keeps the chicken side of things running so smoothly.
And then there's Millie, who does none of the above, spends her days throwing herself at sticks and mustering chickens whether they need it or not, and is, by unanimous vote, still essential.
It's not just the four of us though, or five if you're counting Millie, which we do.
Ash, three years in, loves a laugh and isn't afraid to push a conversation a little too far, which we love. She manages our egg orders and invoicing, runs two pack days a week processing eggs, and delivers around Gympie and the Sunshine Coast the rest of the week.
Stephanie's been with us four years, building and moving fences, and looking after the pigs and our Maremmas day to day. Time's more of a suggestion to her though, five minutes can become fifty, and somehow she still finds room for fostering dogs and her own small farm ventures on the side.

Declan started as our weekend egg picker, a Year 10 kid picking eggs on Saturdays and Sundays. Since finishing school, he's up to five days a week, seven if we gave it to him, mostly working alongside Stuart as his right-hand man.
And Asko, creature of habit, keeps his van spotless and his 4 am start non-negotiable, which is exactly why your eggs are on the shelf before most of us are up.
We're also lucky enough to usually have a backpacker or two lending a hand around the place. They come and go, but we've had some great ones through here over the years, which is exactly why you'll often spot us thanking them on our socials when they move on.

Behind every box that leaves this farm is a proper team in the pack shed, getting your order labelled, packed and ready for the road.
The Dogs
Eleven Maremmas call Forage Farms home: Leah, Max, Bree, Daisy, Holly, Sam, Rooster, Bandit, Willow, Nova and Luna.
Maremmas are an old Italian guardian breed, bred for centuries to live alongside the animals they protect rather than herd them. They bond with the flock as if it's their own family, which is exactly what you'll see here. Ours patrol the paddocks day and night, keeping foxes and birds of prey away from our laying hens. It's their quiet, constant presence that lets our chickens roam and forage freely at all hours, without ever needing someone to stand watch over them.
We're Not The Only Forage Farms Farm
The Andrews family and this crew are who you'll meet here at Kybong, but Forage Farms is bigger than one property now. We're working with a small, growing community of partner farmers producing to the same standards right across the region, real people building real businesses the same way we did.
