We want to let you know about a change we're making to how ordering works at Forage Farms, to make things easier for you and us.
Starting in October, we're moving to a monthly delivery window instead of taking and dispatching orders every week. You can still order anytime you like; nothing about browsing or checking out on our site is changing. What's changing is when we pack and ship your order: once a month, on one planned run, rather than a little every week.
Why We're Doing This
Running this farm well takes constant attention, and splitting our team's focus across small deliveries regularly makes it harder to keep up with everything happening, including the new tasks coming up as we work towards getting broiler production started again. Packing everyone's order together, once a month, means we can set aside that time and get one big group done instead of a little all the time.
It also means fewer separate trips out for delivery, which keeps transport costs down, a saving we'd rather keep for our customers.
How It Will Work
Each month's delivery window closes on the first Wednesday. Order before then, and you're in that month's run. Order after, and you don't need to do anything; your order rolls into the following month's window instead.
Never Miss a Window
We know a monthly rhythm is a bigger gap than some of you are used to, so we've put a few things in place to help.
You can sign up for reminders as we get closer to each deadline, so you never miss out. We'll also include a small reminder with your next order to keep in the kitchen, and we've created a digital calendar you can add to your phone for extra reminders.
When It Starts
For the rest of September, nothing changes; orders will keep going out as they come in, same as always. October 7 marks the start of the new system; any home delivery order from October 8 onwards will be collected and delivered in November.
Farm Pickup Isn't Changing
If you collect from us at Kybong, you can keep ordering and picking up exactly as you always have.
Buying Eggs More Than Once a Month?
If you buy our egg boxes more than once a month, we've set something up for you too. You can now subscribe to your egg box at an interval that suits you, and we'll deliver it as normal, more frequently than our monthly delivery window. This keeps your kitchen stocked and your eggs arriving on schedule.
You can start a subscription on your next order and manage it as you like, pause it, reschedule it, or change the frequency whenever you need to.
